Sadly, we will likely never see those mechanics again because RE6 was a failure to Capcom. There is a tiny learning curve, especially since RE6 basically tells you nothing about its systems (countering, diving/prone/sliding/rolling, quick shot, different melee stun levels, etc.) Once you figure it out, though, you can basically pull off action movie-esque maneuvers that are extremely satisfying. Take those mechanics, put them in a good game, explain them a bit, and you have a hit. RE6's campaigns were a convoluted, bloated mess, but the core mechanics were some of the best I've ever experienced in a third person shooter. I really wish RE6 had Raid Mode, or that a Revelations game with RE6 mechanics would be made.
